being prepared

even before our son was born i became aware of the fact that with a child you definitely need water proof clothes. because there is no choice: you go out whether it is sunny or not. and with the stroller it is difficult to carry an umbrella. so i started looking for some good clothes for rainy days. soon i saw these cool rain boots from navyboot and put them on my wishlist for last christmas. what i still needed was a nice rain coat and i wanted it to be eye catching. i found a cool but classic one  at friesennerz.  i had to wait till we moved to versailles to use the whole outfit for the first time. but since we live here i wear it every other day and i'm quite happy to have gotten those essentials.

starting over

this time i don't only start over with hopefully posting on a more regular basis (i know, i said that before!!) but i also start over in a new city. the picture would make you think it is paris...it is not quite but almost...

it's versailles...yes, that's the place with the huge castle and the even bigger park:

we moved here 10 days ago and everything is new. the appartment, the city and of course the language but also the people. luckily i am here with my husband and our sweet four month baby boy. these two changes - the moving and the one of being a mum - gives me the opportunity to not only talk about fashion on my blog (don't be afraid, paris is not far and i didn't lose my passion for fashion during pregnancy) but also about adapting to a new city with a little child. you might ask yourself if there even is a difference between life in switzerland and in france but believe me, there is. plus i found out (not that i had any doubt) that having a child opens up a whole new field of consumption!!
The plan is thus to still talk about fashion but make the blog more personal by talking about the experience abroad and of course about all the baby stuff. and believe me, there's gonna be a lot to tell (if time allows).

business wear at its best

das deutsche label hugo boss steht für mich für klassisch schöne business garderobe. schlichte schnitte, dezente farben und dennoch immer wieder ein spannendes detail, das auch einen simplen anzug nicht langweilig aussehen lässt. zudem finde ich auch immer wieder ein tolles kleid für den abend oder einen speziellen anlass. gespannt war ich nun auf die erste kollektion von jason wu für huog boss, die anlässlich der new yorker fashionweek gezeigt wurde. die schnitte sind noch immer schlicht, die details allerdings extravaganter: mustermix, wadenlange röcke (ich liebe sie, doch wenn man nicht mind. 1m75 gross ist, sieht es einfach komisch aus) oder verschiedene materialien. für mich ein gelungener auftakt dieser zusammenarbeit.

regentage

der januar war bis jetzt ja ziemlich verregnet. zum glück hab ich zu weihnachten die perfekten schuhe für solche tage geschenkt bekommen. die tollen gummistiefelchen von navyboot sind nicht nur äusserst bequem sondern auch noch chic.

new favourites

tja, es ist passiert. ich bin den aesop produkten verfallen. nein, nicht nur wegen der tollen verpackung der produkte (okaaaaay, das war vielleicht der auslöser), sondern auch wegen deren qualität. ich muss sagen, die parsley seed linie tut meiner haut richtig gut. sie ist erfrischend und reinigt porentief.

angeschnallt

ich muss sagen, mir gefällt an diesen jimmy choos die kombination zwischen dem geschlossen schuh und dem an sandalen erinnerenden band. da kommt doch bereits jetzt summer feeling auf oder?

die neuen sommerkampagnanen der grossen marken sind da! und auf keinen fall vorenthalten kann ich euch natürlich diejenige von dolce&gabbana. ihr wisst ja (hier, hier, hier und hier), wie sehr ich diese kampagnen liebe und sie für mich einfach die lebensfreude italiens versprühen. so auch bei dieses jahr. seht selbst. die fotos sind dieses mal von domenico dolce himself.

diese pflegeserie von l'occitane verwöhnt nicht nur die haut der mamas, sondern pflegt auch das baby. toll ist, dass sie geruchslos ist und so richtig reichhaltig.
